As a time-honored Chinese brand of gold and jewelry under Shanghai Laomiao Gold Co., Ltd., Laomiao Jewelry was founded in 1906, with "Good Fortune and Blessings" as its core concept. The Huai'an 

Laomiao Jewelry store places particular emphasis on professional lighting system design to showcase Laomiao's brand philosophy of "Eastern Culture, National Trend Expression."

Lighting Needs Analysis

The Huai'an Laomiao Jewelry store faces multiple lighting challenges:

The store needs to display jewelry of various materials, including gold, jade, and diamonds, each with different lighting requirements.

The store adopts a traditional Chinese decoration style, and the lighting needs to be harmonious with the overall decor.

The customer base consists mainly of high-end consumers who have very high expectations for the shopping experience.

Professional Lighting Design Solution

Hefei Changxiang Lighting Technology Co., Ltd., with its professional experience in jewelry lighting, customized a non-intelligent professional lighting solution for the Huai'an Laomiao Jewelry store:

1. Precise Color Temperature Zoning

Gold area: Using 3000K-3500K warm white light, perfectly showcasing the warm luster of gold and avoiding the dullness caused by cool light. Changxiang Starlight® LED spotlights were selected, with a color 

rendering index CRI ≥ 90, accurately restoring the rich color of gold.

Diamond area: Equipped with 4500K neutral white light, simulating the fire and brilliance under natural light, fully showcasing the dazzling brilliance of diamonds. 24° beam angle spotlights were used, 

precisely illuminating from a 45° angle to highlight the diamond's cutting craftsmanship.

Jade area: Using 4000K soft light to highlight the delicate texture and transparency of jade, avoiding color distortion caused by high color temperature. Wall washer lights were installed at the bottom of the 

display cabinets to create diffused light at the bottom, showcasing the internal structure of the jade.

2. Layered Lighting Layout

Basic lighting: 12W LED downlights were installed on the ceiling of the store, with an illuminance controlled at 300-500 lux, ensuring no dark corners in the store and providing a comfortable shopping 

environment.

Accent lighting: A spotlight system was customized for different jewelry materials. The spotlights were installed 40-50cm directly above the display area, precisely focusing on individual pieces of jewelry 

without interfering with adjacent items. The spacing between spotlights was strictly controlled at 80-100cm to avoid overlapping light spots. Ambient Lighting: Warm LED strip lights are used at the base of 

the counters to guide customer flow; soft light diffusers are installed in the try-on area to enhance privacy; and showcase lights are installed at the entrance to attract customers.

Implementation Results

Significant Sales Increase: Since the lighting system upgrade, the store's jewelry transaction rate has increased by 23%, and the average customer stay time has increased by 5 minutes.

Excellent Product Display Effect: The luster of gold has increased by 35%, the brilliance of diamonds has increased by 40%, and the translucency of jade has significantly improved.

Energy Saving and Environmental Protection: Compared with the original halogen lighting system, energy consumption has decreased by 62%, saving approximately 48,000 yuan in electricity costs annually.

Professional Detail Highlights

Shadow Elimination Design: Low-angle supplementary lighting is added to the outside of the display case glass to eliminate the problem of shadows cast by customers leaning over to select jewelry.

Safe Area Lighting: The cashier area uses 3000K warm light pendant lamps + hidden light sources on the countertop to softly illuminate the work surface; 2700K wall lamps are installed in the try-on area to 

avoid direct light on customers' faces.

"Golden Angle" for Display Case Lighting: Top 45° spotlights are combined with bottom reflectors to create a customized three-dimensional lighting solution for different jewelry materials.

Special Product Lighting: A dedicated lighting solution was designed for Laomiao's signature "Ancient Charm Gold" and "Youque" series, using a 3500K color temperature and precise light beams to perfectly 

showcase the fusion of traditional gilding craftsmanship and modern design.
