Jinyujue Jewelry Lighting Case: Reconstructing the Aesthetic Experience of High-end Jewelry with Light and Shadow Technology

Recently, Changxiang Xingguang Smart Lighting, a leading brand in China’s smart lighting industry, reached an in-depth cooperation with Jinyujue, a high-end jewelry brand in Jincheng, Shanxi.

For Jinyujue’s core store in Jincheng, Changxiang Xingguang created an integrated smart lighting solution. With the concept of “enhancing jewelry value through light and upgrading the viewing experience with technology,” the project combines advanced smart lighting technology with the aesthetics of high-end jewelry, redefining the lighting standard for premium jewelry retail spaces.

As a benchmark brand in Jincheng’s high-end jewelry market, Jinyujue has been deeply rooted in the local market for more than 20 years. With strict product selection standards, professional jewelry services, and an elegant in-store experience, it has become a preferred choice for many consumers purchasing premium jewelry.

“The value of jewelry lies not only in its materials and craftsmanship, but also in its aesthetic presentation under light and shadow. The fire of diamonds, the color of jade, and the transparency of colored gemstones all need precise lighting to be fully brought to life,” said the brand representative of Jinyujue.

As consumers place higher expectations on the jewelry viewing experience, the limitations of traditional lighting systems in spectrum matching, brightness control, and scene adaptation have become increasingly obvious. Therefore, a professional smart lighting solution is urgently needed for store upgrades.

     To meet Jinyujue’s core needs, Changxiang Xingguang Smart Lighting formed a dedicated project team. After multiple rounds of on-site surveys and requirement analysis, the team developed a three-dimensional solution combining customized spectrum, intelligent control, and scene adaptation.

For spectrum customization, the team developed high color rendering customized lighting solutions with Ra ≥ 98, based on the optical characteristics of different jewelry categories such as diamonds, jade, and gold. For diamonds, the lighting solution precisely controls the ratio of 450 nm blue light and 580 nm yellow light to maximize the brilliance and clarity of diamonds. For jade, a multi-band composite spectrum is used to accurately restore its texture, transparency, and color, solving the problem of color distortion under traditional lighting.

The intelligent lighting control system is the key highlight of this project. Changxiang Xingguang smart lighting terminals and smart locks are deployed throughout the store to capture changes in natural light in real time and automatically adjust brightness and color temperature, ensuring stable visual presentation throughout the day.

The system also supports multiple control methods, including control panels, dimming knobs, and mobile apps. Store staff can switch between different scenes with one click, such as Appreciation Mode, Display Mode, and Reception Mode. In Appreciation Mode, the lighting focuses on jewelry details with an anti-glare design, helping customers examine products more accurately. In Display Mode, layered lighting creates a premium atmosphere and enhances the visual appeal of showcases and display counters.

In addition, the system includes energy consumption monitoring. Compared with traditional lighting, it saves more than 30% energy, achieving both aesthetic improvement and energy efficiency.

   At present, the smart lighting system has been fully implemented in Jinyujue’s core store in Jincheng. Upon entering the store, the diamond display area shines with brilliant fire under customized lighting, while the jade section delicately restores the warm texture and natural beauty of the stones. The layered lighting throughout the space perfectly complements the aesthetics of high-end jewelry.
